The Godolphin and Latymer School is one of the country’s leading independent day schools for girls, located on a six acre site in Hammersmith, London.  The School’s facilities are excellent, making it an exciting place to learn and work.  The students at Godolphin and Latymer receive unrivalled academic and pastoral support and outstanding examination results are achieved.

Both curricular languages and extra-curricular activities are highly popular within the large Modern Foreign Languages faculty.  The students are talented linguists and there is a strong focus on skills development and independent learning.  All members of the faculty contribute to the thriving extra-curricular programme at the school.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, well-qualified and ambitious teacher or current head of department to join the school on a permanent and full time basis from 1 September 2022 to lead our thriving German department.

An inspirational teacher and leader, the key responsibilities of this role will include the provision of effective teaching and learning, the monitoring and evaluation of pupils’ work and achievements and to ensure that the department has the leadership and support necessary to build on its already excellent standards.  The post-holder will lead a team of two.  The ability to teach up to A Level and the IB Diploma Programme is essential.  The ability to teach an additional language could prove advantageous.

The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience.

Accommodation may be available for new staff in a local six-unit property.
