An exciting and unique opportunity to become the Head of the Post 16 Girls Football Academy has arisen because the present incumbent has been recruited by the Football Association in a lead role. Barking Abbey Girls Football Academy are the current National Individual Schools Under 18 Champions (2016/2017). The girls have competed in the Dallas Cup, in 2015 and 2016. They have been on tour to Florida to showcase for American Colleges and indeed an ever increasing number of players now study and play in the collegiate system. This year’s pre-season was two weeks in Madrid and they will be travelling to the Mayors Cup in Las Vegas in February 2018. They play in the National College Premier League and we currently have four international representatives within the present cohort.
Barking Abbey is looking for a well qualified, experienced football coach. The School is extremely ambitious to continue to move the academy forward. This post is full on and potential candidates need a lot of energy and enthusiasm.

- Blind shortlisting by a panel against the Job description. Potential applicants are scored. Shortlisting by at least 3 people including one SLT.
- Shortlist for interview based on scores from shortlisting.
- Interview process will depend on role and may include; lesson observations, data or admin tasks, panel interviews, student panels and a final interview
- All assessed tasks are scored according to set criteria and scores are moderated to ensure consistency.
- All panel interviews and final interviews are scored. Each interview has a moderation process to ensure consistency of scores where appropriate. Questions are common to all applicants.
- Feedback is provided by a member of the panel.
Ofsted report
A clear theme running through the school is the positive behaviour of pupils and their excellent attitudes to their work.
