Job overview

 The Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner to co-lead this highly successful department and co-ordinate the Physical Education curriculum and non-curricular programme across the school, with particular focus on girls’ PE.

The PE department is extremely well resourced, with state of the art facilities and several new activity and Astroturf areas. PE is taught to all pupils across all year groups and many pupils also study the Edexcel BTEC Sport course during Key Stage 4. There is a great commitment from pupils towards PE within the College. A wide variety of extra-curricular activities take place early in the morning, at lunch time and at the end of the college day. Many pupils are enthusiastic to participate in these.

The successful applicant will be creative, well organised and will actively assist in the further development of PE within the College, contributing to the vibrant programme of extra-curricular support provided to all pupils. The post is suitable for fully qualified teachers who have a proven track record of inspirational teaching and an ability to manage a team of teachers, with outstanding bespoke training programmes available to all.
