Head of Global Languages (Maternity Leave)

Yago School is a privately owned school located centrally in one of the most beautiful cities in Spain - Seville. We have small class sizes and students enjoy state of the art facilities in a comprehensive education package that starts with infants, and goes through to International Diploma at 18 years.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who can cover our Head of Global Languages department during her maternity leave, and who wants to expand his/her experience teaching at an International School.

We require a native-level English-speaking teacher who holds a PGCE / QTS or equivalent qualification. He/she should have excellent classroom management skills backed up by excellent curriculum knowledge, and deliver imaginative lessons which are engaging and inclusive to all our students. Spanish fluency is not a requirement, but willingness to learn is a great advantage.

JOB OFFER DESCRIPTION

*Secondary English Teaching hours

*English Language Support - Primary & Secondary

Coordination

- Translation of internal and external texts

- Contact with book publishers (Penguin, Macmillan, etc.) & EEL platform, book orders

- Organization of external exams (Cambridge, Trinity, YCT/HSK)

- Organization of mock exams (protocol, copies, etc.)

- Correspondence with parents related to external exams and happenings in the department

- Teacher support and department check ins (Infant, Primary, Secondary/IB)

- Ensuring all teachers are following the criteria set out in the curriculum

- Analyzing of department data related to external exams and department goals

Salary: €26,000 per annum

Contract Type: Full time

Type of Contract : Temporary (6 months).

Working hours : Teaching hours Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 plus weekly meetings Monday afternoons after school
