Here at Astrea we are ambitious for what system-leading governance within education can mean. The role of Astrea Head of Governance and Policy is for someone looking to make an indelible mark on sector best practice, whether it’s through ensuring all layers of our governance model operate as a coherent whole, providing robust policy and regulatory advice to a highly-skilled and dedicated Board of Trustees, or facilitating local academy arrangements that challenge and support in equal measure.
As Head of Governance and Policy at Astrea you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to ensuring an education that ‘inspires beyond measure’ for children in some of the most deprived communities. Our academies have travelled far in a short period but we still have a way to go. We are clear that Governance and Policy has a dual function at the heart of the Trust – as Astrea’s ‘conscience’ in regulatory and statutory matters, whilst cultivating core links between all layers of governance. If you are keen to deliver best practice in a dynamic, values-driven environment, working collaboratively alongside colleagues determined to do the best for children in Astrea schools, this would be a perfect role for you.
Astrea Academy Trust is committed to high quality professional development and career opportunities for all staff, we are also passionate about cultivating our own talented workforce. At Astrea we believe that we can provide these unique roles by providing a huge opportunity to join a dynamic team working across the entire organisation.
We foster a collaborative culture where talented individuals can produce their best work.
