Head of History

We are looking for an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our team in September 2023.

The successful candidate will teach History from KS2 up to 13+ scholarship and will be a person of energy and focus, keen to build on the excellent and unique humanities curriculum in place at NHP. KS3/4 teaching experience would also be desirable. NHP attaches great significance to the teaching of humanities and the curriculum has undergone a full overhaul in the last few years and therefore the ability to embrace change is essential. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who appreciates the role that the teaching of humanities has on pupils’ understanding and appreciation of the world.

This role will involve contact with and responsibility for children and will amount to ‘regulated’ activity.

This is a part time role (0.6 FTE) but there may be some flexibility.

The salary and package are generous and above the National Scale.

A responsibility allowance will be included as part of the remuneration package. Free school lunches are also provided and there is the opportunity to join our private medical health scheme.

The closing date for completed applications is 9am on Monday 17th April 2023, but early applications are encouraged. Interview days will be scheduled for the week commencing 24th April 2023. On these days, candidates can expect to have an interview, teach an observed lesson, and enjoy a tour of our school.
