We have an opportunity for an outstanding History Teacher to lead and manage the History Department at William Hulme’s Grammar School, Manchester’s most over-subscribed school and one of the most successful comprehensive schools in the country. WHGS is an all-through (3-18) Academy of over 1000 pupils with a wide range of abilities, ethnicities and backgrounds. The Academy is in the final stages of a huge expansion project which will see the opening of a new Sixth Form Centre in September, so this is a very exciting time to join the school.
Leading a small team, the post-holder will be an outstanding practitioner, required to teach History at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
As Subject Leader, reporting to the Head of the Humanities Faculty, you will be an outstanding teacher, delivering consistently good and outstanding lessons, an excellent team player with the highest standards of professionalism and expectations of students. You will have up to date subject knowledge and a track record of success in maximising student progress across all key stages.
