Head of History of Art

Notting Hill & Ealing High School, one of London’s leading independent girls’ day schools, has an exciting opportunity for an inspirational Head of History of Art to lead a successful History of Art Department in both its curricular and extra-curricular activities.

We are looking for a well-qualified graduate of History of Art with a passion for the subject and excellent subject knowledge, with good organisational and time management skills. We are looking for someone to teach 0.6 of a timetable but this is negotiable if the candidate is able to offer an additional subject.

History of Art at NHEHS

History of Art is a sixth-form only subject that is held in high regard and with great affection by students. The department has a legacy of outstanding results: 80% of A-level candidates gained an A* or A grade in the 2018 summer examinations, while 83% of the cohort achieved an A* grade in the previous year. Many of these students have gone on to read History of Art at leading universities including Cambridge, the Courtauld, Edinburgh and Leeds.
