Tes is seeking an inspiring and passionate Head of History to join a well respected multi-academy trust in Wakefield.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who can enthuse, engage, motivate and inspire both students and staff with a desire and strong commitment for improvement and team building. You will report directly to the Head of Humanities in a robust departmental structure that fosters a collaborative atmosphere to ensure the best outcomes for students.

The school expects:
- A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A relevant BA in History or a related subject
- Previous experience of delivering History up to GCSE, engaging and stretching pupil ability
