The College is seeking a qualified, experienced teacher-leader to join the Middle Leadership team of the College. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated capacity to lead staff and students and an ability to form excellent professional relationships. As an innovative and creative educator, the successful applicant will hold an integral role in realising the vision of Mary MacKillop College. The teaching role associated with this position will be full-time continuing, while the Middle Leadership position will be a fixed term appointment extending until the current Middle Leadership appointment period concludes at the end of the 2020 school year. At that time the appointee may be reappointed following satisfactory appraisal.
The successful applicant will be a highly skilled teacher with a proven track record in the teaching of English and/or Study of Religion/Cert III Christian Ministry and Theology/Religious Education.

Mary MacKillop College is an all-girls, non-selective, independent secondary school with sixth form in Queensland, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school is situated in Nundah, and has around 500 students and 37 members of staff on record.
Mary MacKillop College opened in 1964 by the Sisters of St Joseph, and was first known as Mt. St. Joseph's Students Secondary School, before being renamed Mary Mackillop College in 2009 to mark the 100th anniversary of Mary Mackillop's death. The school is proud of its close-knit community and deliberately keeps to a small size to ensure that all pupils find their voice.

Mary MacKillop College has modern classrooms, a theatre, drama studios, music rooms, art rooms, science laboratories, sports courts and expansive outside grounds.
Curriculum
The school's curriculum places an important emphasis on IT and students are provided with a computer as part of the one-to-one laptop programme, allowing for them to enhance their learning experience through the use of technology. The expectations of pupils are high and dedicated teaching staff work to ensure that individuals are reaching their full potential, and their learning progress is tracked regularly. Pupils are encouraged to get involved in activities outside the classroom to increase their confidence, practice their skills and pursue their interests. Activities include sports clubs, music lessons and drama class.
