The successful applicant will:


  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

The College is seeking a qualified, experienced teacher-leader to join the Middle Leadership team of the College. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated capacity to lead staff and students and an ability to form excellent professional relationships. As an innovative and creative educator, the successful applicant will hold an integral role in realising the vision of Mary MacKillop College. The teaching role associated with this position will be full-time continuing, while the Middle Leadership position will be a fixed term appointment extending until the current Middle Leadership appointment period concludes at the end of the 2020 school year. At that time the appointee may be reappointed following satisfactory appraisal. The successful applicant will be a highly skilled teacher with a proven track record in the teaching of English and/or Study of Religion/Cert III Christian Ministry and Theology/Religious Education.
