The Principal of Moreton Hall wishes to appoint an inspirational and ambitious Head of Humanities who will seek to raise the profile of the humanities across the school. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will teach a slightly reduced timetable, in recognition of the responsibilities attached to this role, but any humanities teaching background (including English) would be considered.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a classroom teacher, possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills and will be able to develop a strategic approach to the development of the Curriculum and cross-curricular opportunities.
As Faculty Head, they will lead a team of committed and talented group of subject co-ordinators and teachers with a proven track record of success at A Level and GCSE and will be capable of implementing cross-departmental policies and consistency where expedient, whilst still retaining the individual identities of the subjects.
2018 - 2019 marks an important stage in the school's development as we commence the building of the Holroyd Community Theatre, which will raise the profile of the school as a regional centre for the Creative and Performing Arts.
Good family accommodation may be available.
