About the Role

SCC Group has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Inclusive Learning at the college. The successful candidate, will have a record of being an outstanding practitioner within a SEND environment with high levels of experience of driving high quality within a team.

 

The successful candidate will be a strategic, proactive and a committed individual who will manage the Inclusive Learning Team, they will support and identify the needs of learners with difficulties or disabilities, literacy, numeracy and language needs within the department and manage the provision to meet learners needs. Candidates must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, EHCP, High Needs Funding, exam access arrangements and additional support in a post-16 environment.

 

They should also demonstrate a clear and empathetic understanding of the barriers that a student can face and have a proactive and determined approach to overcome educational barriers. The candidate should have a track record of designing an ambitious innovative curriculum that is inclusive with clear opportunities for students to make progress and develop their skills to progress onto a positive next step.

 

The successful candidate will also demonstrate high levels of experience and a specialist knowledge of working in an educational setting with SEND students. They will have highly effective communication skills, outstanding organisational skills and experience of working with internal and external stakeholders.
