Head of IT and Computing (Full Time)

A well-qualified, enthusiastic Head of Computing is required to work in our lively, innovative, and academically selective Prep school with the opportunity to teach some Computing in our Upper School in addition. The successful candidate will have an appropriate academic background and experience of teaching children across Years 3-6 in KS2 and Years 7-8 in KS3. They will hold Google Certified Educator Level 1 and 2 and will preferably be a qualified Google Trainer.

Applicants should have a teaching and learning philosophy in line with our growth mindset approach, nurturing independence of thought and academic success within the security of a strong pastoral care system. Applicants should be committed to excellence and maximising the academic and personal achievement for all pupils.

In addition to leading the digital learning in the Prep and teaching some Upper School Computing, the role will include supporting some small Maths groups alongside Prep School Maths teachers.

Shortlisted candidates will have an initial and remote interview at any stage from receipt of applications to before final interviews. Successful candidates will then proceed to the final stage, which will be on-site and involve teaching an observed lesson and final interview.
