Varndean School requires an enthusiastic, committed and outstanding Head of Learning & Progress (SEND) as a result of the promotion of the current post holder.
The busy and productive Individual Learning Support department forms a major part of the school’s curriculum offer. The new appointee will be given extensive opportunities to further develop this department and work alongside SLT as they set about fulfilling the school’s vision to deliver World Class Learning.
Varndean is a ‘Good’ school (Ofsted 2017). Ofsted commented that:
“In 2016, the majority of pupils who had special educational needs and/or disabilities did well in their GCSE examinations.”
