We have an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking, experienced educational professional to head up Berkhamsted School’s learning resources centre. The Head of Learning Resources position will be supported by two assistant librarians and a library assistant in the Senior School. The post holder will be responsible for creating a vision for the future of the libraries at Berkhamsted, while showing a commitment to learning. You will have sound understanding of educational issues and the ability to work with teaching colleagues in supporting the curriculum, whilst harnessing 21st century learning styles.

Located in the market town of Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, Berkhamsted School is a co-educational independent school founded in 1541. Although nominally a co-educational school, Berkhamsted runs as a Diamond School, meaning that pupils are taught in co-educational classes at a young age, then moved into single-sex streaming in senior school, before being re-integrated in sixth form. This is intended to give pupils both the academic benefits of a single-sex education, and the social benefits of co-education. Being founded in the Christian tradition, the school works hard to foster the spiritual and moral development of its pupils, and inspire a sense of community and acceptance.
