The school has an outstanding academic reputation. It prides itself on looking after its children – enabling 95% of Year 6 to obtain their first-choice secondary school. This statistic is evidenced by a three-year running average of 80% success rate of children passing the Birmingham 11+ and an average of 20 scholarships awarded to the highly selective Birmingham Independent Schools the last three years.
The position of Head of Learning Support arises on the promotion of the present holder to a senior position in another school. The School has recognised that the needs for pupils requiring learning support involves careful management and monitoring. We are now seeking to appoint a person who is passionate about teaching and learning who understands the needs of the School’s age range and has a clear understanding of current best practice and legalisation in regard to providing high quality Learning Support for a school such as Hallfield. We are looking for someone who has an innovative outlook and a commitment to the role, who has a clear ambition, enthusiasm and who will be fully involved in the life of the school.
This is an excellent opportunity to join Hallfield at an exciting stage in its development. A new Headmaster has been appointed to start in September 2018. The successful candidate will be empowered to review, reform and lead the provision for learning support throughout the school.
