Job overview

A well-qualified and enthusiastic individual is required for September 2022 or sooner to lead a successful and thriving department and to teach Mathematics to GCSE and A Level within a large, dynamic and successful department.

The successful candidate will be a key player in developing the Mathematics department further, and implementing the core aims of the Mathematics Action Plan. This will be closely linked to the Schools' stated aims of improving the academic and other achievements from good to excellent. This post is likely to involve teaching across the age range from fourth form (year 9) to upper sixth (year 13.) The ability to teach further Mathematics and STEP/Oxbridge preparation would be helpful.

The successful candidate will be expected to play a full part in the broader life of the School. This will include responsibility for a tutor group, reporting to a day or boarding Housemaster/ mistress as appropriate.

About Mill Hill School

The Mill Hill School Foundation offers education to boys and girls aged between 3 and 18 in its four Schools. The Schools occupy a magnificent 160 acres of beautiful grounds just 10 miles from Central London with easy access to underground and main line stations.

Mill Hill School is the senior school in the Foundation and the largest in our group, catering to boys and girls aged 13-18. We offer weekly and full boarding, although the majority of students are day pupils. Our unique culture and approach offers pupils an education which is of distinctive quality, with an effective balance between academic and co-curricular pursuits, alongside careful pastoral support.
