We are seeking to appoint a determined, energetic and committed Mathematics specialist with a clear vision of how to lead and develop an outstanding Maths department.
Someone who is also:
- An inspirational teacher who has the highest expectations of students
- An outstanding classroom practitioner
- Innovative and creative with excellent interpersonal skills
You will work with colleagues in the STEM team, pushing forward numeracy and the language of Mathematics across the whole Academy including our thriving 6th Form. The post is part of our highly successful middle leadership group and would be excellent preparation for an assistant headteacher role in the future. There are also fantastic opportunities for further professional development offered by the Academy supported by our innovative and unique CPD programme.
You will be responsible for teaching and planning challenging lessons that ensure the progress of all students. The twin specialisms of Engineering & Design and English mean that we place numeracy and literacy at the heart of all we do.
The Academy has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from Governors, Parents, Students and a dedicated and highly motivated team of staff.
