Newbridge School is a highly successful 11 -16 school of c.1000 pupils, with high standards of pupil achievement, teaching, and pupil behaviour. The school is based in a convenient location for all of South Wales, with strong transport routes from Newport, Cardiff and all communities in the South Wales Valleys.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the Mathematics Department, including developing the new curriculum within the Mathematics and Numeracy AOLE. The department is already a successful one, with 74% of pupils attaining C+ in Maths/Numeracy, and 23% attaining A/A*. Students are taught by an experienced and passionate team of specialist Maths teachers. The successful candidate will be passionate about the teaching of Mathematics and will be able to inspire, motivate and support our students to reach their potential and take the knowledge, skills and understanding we develop in them into the next stage of their lives.
You will be an excellent teacher, keen to share this with colleagues and help them to develop their own practice to further enhance our students’ learning.
