We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher with a passion for enabling young people to achieve high standards in maths and lead a team in developing further our maths curriculum. King Ethelbert is an 11- 18, 850 mixed secondary school in East Kent. We have had a £20 million rebuild through BSF providing the school with excellent facilities throughout including a new and refurbished maths suite.

We are the most successful non-selective school in Thanet and are a strategic partner of East Kent Learning Alliance. We are federated with a local outstanding grammar school and became an academy in 2011. We are proud to be a model school for Kent, developing the most effective techniques to improve student progress. In the Sixth Form we offer the new and exciting International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (CP) which has brought the school international recognition.

King Ethelbert is located in the picturesque seaside town of Birchington-on-sea which has some of the most stunning coastal views in the country. Housing is affordable and the area benefits from a warm and sunny climate.
