Job overview

Hall School Wimbledon is a small, friendly, independent co-educational school situated in an attractive area of South-West London. We offer an innovative  all-round education, small class sizes and excellent pastoral care. We plan to open a Sixth Form in September 2020.

HEAD OF MATHEMATICS

We are seeking to appoint a highly qualified, inspirational and experienced individual to lead our very successful Mathematics department.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and thriving department which offers GCSE Mathematics and Further Mathematics to its pupils.

Successful candidates will be able to teach across the age range, will have had relevant experience teaching to GCSE and will ideally have held a position of responsibility within a Mathematics department

A willingness to contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme as well as supporting the pastoral life of the school is essential.

Hall School Wimbledon offers a competitive pay scale with generous allowances for suitably qualified and experienced staff.

Applicants should apply directly to the school by submitting a current curriculum vitae accompanied by an introductory letter and details of two referees (present and previous employer – no contact will be made without permission). Applications should be sent to Mrs Sheila O’Sullivan at osullivans@hsw.co.uk. (There is no need to click ‘Apply now’ below)

Applications will be reviewed on a daily basis and interviews may occur at any stage after applications are received so we invite interested candidates to apply as soon as possible.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. Employment at the school is subject to rigorous pre-employment checks.
