Outwood Academy Valley is an oversubscribed 11 - 18 academy in the North of Nottinghamshire at the gateway to the famous Dukeries, including Clumber Park.  Situated in Worksop, a vibrant town with a historic market centre, mining heritage and growing commuter links for nearby cities, including Sheffield.

You will be an excellent teacher with the ability to deliver at Post 16. You will also have the leadership experience and the ability to challenge individuals within your team whilst supporting them to achieve outstanding results.  We are committed to delivering the best possible mathematics curriculum and the Head of Department will be working strategically with Directors of Mathematics, a network of outstanding Heads of Mathematics and Senior Leaders across the Family of Schools.  

There are significant opportunities for your development through the Outwood Grange Academies Trust Family of Schools and this role will prepare you, should you wish, for Senior Leadership within the Family.  We are part of the Outwood Institute of Education which provides high quality professional development for all staff.  Our Executive Director is the Yorkshire and Humber Maths Hub lead and the successful HoD would enjoy direct collaboration on the improvement of outcomes of all students in maths across the region and nationally through the work of the Maths Hubs.
