Head of Mathematics

As a qualified teacher you will be a fluent English speaker, familiar with the UK curriculum and confident working with students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds. You’ll be capable of inspiring students from aged 11-18 to love Mathematics. You will have a strong subject knowledge for teaching across this age range. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of Mathematics teaching and learning, managing and leading a team of colleagues as well as encouraging a culture of inspiration, enjoyment and success. You will be an excellent communicator and confident with technology: someone who gets on well with colleagues, students and parents. Amongst other things, you’ll be well organised, have a good sense of humour and will want to participate fully in the extra-curricular aspects of school life as well as in the classroom.

BISS Puxi is a truly international school with over 60 nationalities represented in the school community. We are a high achieving international school where the results have continued to improve year on year across every Key Stage. We are non-selective yet, in June 2019, 60% of our Year 11 students achieved 5+ A*/A or (7-9) grades.
