We are seeking a passionate and innovative Head of Maths to continue the journey the Department is on and ensure a dynamic, fully inclusive world class C21st provision.

The successful candidate will be a real “people person” committed to nurturing a cohesive and forward thinking staff team working to secure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.

They will have a proven track record of high attainment and rapid progress across the full ability range and will be fully up to date on both a theoretical and practical level, with the latest research and practice in Mathematics at secondary level.

The Head of Maths will be committed to continuing the roll out of White Rose Maths as part of our Trust’s drive to have a common approach embedded from KS1 to KS4 and will be working with and able to train staff in the latest Mastery techniques. 

Our catchment is truly diverse in every sense and the successful candidate will be able to engage, inspire, stretch and support pupils across the full spectrum of our pupil community, including the most gifted and those with the largest gaps in learning and/or working significantly below age expectation and to ensure all colleagues are able to do likewise.

They will work with our Numeracy Coordinator and other Curriculum Leaders in ensuring numeracy is fully and deeply embedded across the full curriculum.

They will also work closely with our outstanding Head of English to secure the best possible outcomes across the English-Maths element. 

In line with our model of Servant Leadership, they will routinely take the classes in most need of support and will offer support, guidance and challenge to the staff team, both professionally and pastorally
