Job overview
Unexpectedly required from September 2019 or January 2020
We would love you join us at one of the oldest prep schools in the country, possibly the oldest. We are proud of our heritage and the beautiful history and architecture around the school. Located on the edge of the South Downs National Park 3 miles outside of the beautiful historic city of Winchester, we embrace Christian values and teach children from the earliest ages to be gracious, considerate and respectful of others.
We are also proud of having some of the most modern facilities and forward thinking approaches to education. Classrooms are modern, bright and well-equipped with the latest technology. Our sports and outdoor facilities are simply outstanding.
We are seeking an inspirational and energetic teacher to lead and teach maths at Twyford School. The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher with experience of teaching pupils to Common Entrance and Scholarship to 13+. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a key department at Twyford School. A department which is already thriving due the effective leadership of the current incumbent. We welcome applications from both current Heads of Maths and those who aspire to be a Head of Maths as well as those who may only be available for one term from September 2019.
The successful applicant will be expected to play a part in the wider life of the School, both inside and outside the classroom. If you can offer sporting expertise or experience, even better. It is expected that all teachers are fully involved in the extra-curricular life of the School and may be required to be tutors or form teachers.
