• Is the 5th best-performing non-selective school across the
surrounding counties of Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and
       Wiltshire?

• Attend inset after January of each year

• Hold weekly meetings

• Send emails between 6pm-6am daily and across weekends

Experience of highly effective curriculum development, teaching and learning will be essential.  This is an exciting opportunity to develop a department which has achieved a progress 8 score of +1.11 in August 2019. You will be someone who is committed to the development of a stimulating, differentiated and contextualised curriculum, enabling all students to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will join a school that is committed to engage, inspire and motivate students in their learning to ensure they have the very best educational journey possible.

Our aim is a very clear one which is to provide the best life-chances possible for every student. To that end, we challenge our students to the very edge of their academic capabilities whilst providing wrap-around support towards those goals.  We believe in the importance of stepping out of one’s comfort zone, in order to improve. We are a small diverse and dynamic school which is part of the successful The Thames Learning Trust. In October 2016 we moved into our new school building which has provided us with a 21st century learning environment. If you are a highly ambitious teacher and you feel we are the right school for you, we would like to hear from you.

Understandably, visits to the school are not possible at present, however we are really keen to ensure that you have as much information to proceed with your application as possible, so if you would like a conversation about either the school or the position, please contact Assistant Principal, Mr Alex Smith (asmith@readinggirlsschool.net) and / or the Principal, Jon Gargan (jgargan@readinggirlsschool.net) and we will be happy to assist.
