Data is at the heart of supporting managers, staff and Governors to ensure that they understand our learners and how they progress through their courses and achieve their aims.  As Head of MIS, you will support managers with understanding and interpreting their data reports and you will provide timely and insightful reports for senior managers and Governors.

As a member of the College’s Executive Management Group you will bring your specialist knowledge and viewpoint to strategic discussions and decisions and also have the opportunity to represent the College in London-wide or national debates and groups concerning funding development.  In addition you will be the Data Controller and Data Protection Officer for the College.

You will already have a strong understanding of national funding rules for Adult Education and Community Learning and will ensure that all Returns and forecasts to funding bodies are accurate, robust and timely.  You will keep abreast of potential changes to the funding and advise colleagues on their impact for the College as you play a key role in modelling and planning future years’ curriculum.

You will apply your eye for detail to the data on the College’s student record system, including awarding body entries, and the processes and controls around it for capturing and validating the data.  You will balance this with demonstrating strong interpersonal and influencing skills to support and develop curriculum and non-curriculum staff in their understanding, processing and use of data.

This role will be based at our main site in Camden, two minutes’ walk from Mornington Crescent.
