This is an exciting opportunity to shape the delivery of Modern Foreign Languages at this outstanding school, as the governors seek to appoint an aspirational and enthusiastic curriculum leader. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead a small but expanding team and use their expertise and skills to develop the department further.
In 2018 the school was ranked No 1 in North Yorkshire for pupil progress and is often in the top 1% of all schools nationally.
The last Ofsted Inspection highlighted the following:

We are looking to appoint someone who is keen to develop their leadership skills and advance their career and the successful candidate can expect to be well supported by the staff and senior leadership team.

We are located close to the A1 and A66 and in commutable distance from York, Durham and Teesside. The school has an excellent reputation in the local community and is consistently oversubscribed. St Francis Xavier School is a mixed, comprehensive, Roman Catholic/Church of England secondary school without sixth form situated in Richmond, North Yorkshire.
