Colston’s is a thriving co-educational day school on the outskirts of Bristol. We are easily accessible from the motorway network and with approximately 750 students aged from 3 to 18. The Upper School occupies a glorious thirty acre campus and has all of its facilities on-site.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic individual to manage our Modern Foreign Languages department from January 2018. The department currently offers French and Spanish from Key Stage 3 to 5. The department also supports modern foreign languages teaching in Years 5 and 6 in our Lower School.

The department performs well in external examinations and delivers an exciting programme of extra-curricular provision, including regular trips abroad.

The successful applicant will be a fabulous teacher, a great communicator and will value the opportunity to develop their management skills in this important role at Colston’s. This role will require energy, determination, the ability to work in and lead a team. We welcome applications from teachers of any modern foreign languages, particularly those who are able to teach French and Spanish to A Level.

The Head of Modern Foreign Languages will report to the Director of the Faculty of Languages (English and MFL). It is envisaged that applicants for this post will see this role as a step on their way to a senior management position in due course.
