The British International School of Casablanca is a new all through school located just outside the thriving, bustling financial and business centre of Morocco. We offer an outstanding international education by delivering a curriculum that is inspired by the international programme developed by CIE and the respective national curricula of Morocco and the United Kingdom. Over the next few years the school expects numbers to steadily grow to 1500 students from EYFS up to Year 13. Students will be prepared for IGCSE and A level examinations. The facilities at the school are excellent and include purpose built classrooms, a theatre, an indoor swimming pool, two sports halls and a three-floor library.

We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable teachers with a positive mindset who will thrive on the challenges and rewards provided by developing a new school and who will enjoy the rich cultural experience that living in Morocco will provide. As well as reviewing the school’s website please also look at the school’s recruitment video and consult the information for applicants document; both of which you will find on the school's website under the staff section.

About British International School Casablanca

The British International School of Casablanca (BISC) is a high-performing international school located in the heart of Casablanca, Morocco - a vibrant, rapidly developing country offering an exciting context for international education. The school occupies a modern 4.2-acre campus featuring science laboratories, specialist classrooms, dedicated sports facilities, an amphitheatre, and a semi-Olympic swimming pool.

BISC follows the Cambridge curriculum in the Junior School (Years 1–4), a blended UK/Cambridge curriculum in the Prep School (Years 5–8), and offers a wide range of IGCSE and International A Level subjects in the Senior School (Years 9–13). A strong emphasis is placed on both academic achievement and student wellbeing, within a calm, structured, and respectful school culture.

Since COVID-19, enrolment has increased by 20–25% annually, and BISC is now widely recognised as Morocco’s leading international school for academic performance. In the 2023 ISI inspection, the school was rated ‘Good’ for Pupils’ Learning and Achievement and ‘Excellent’ for Student Development. Since then, BISC has continued on a clear upward trajectory, with A*-A attainment rates of 35-45%, and CEM value-added scores of +0.6 or higher across all Year 11–13 cohorts in 2024/25 - placing BISC well above international benchmarks.

This success is supported by a stable and experienced leadership team, sustained by high staff retention, and reinforced by a calm, inclusive student culture with a strong sense of community - all of which make BISC an enjoyable and rewarding place to teach.

Staff at BISC are expected to have strong experience of teaching in high-performing British or British-international schools and demonstrate a commitment to the high standards typical of an independent school environment. They are expected to contribute fully to the academic and co-curricular life of the school, including participation in a wide range of clubs, activities, and events. In return, BISC offers a collegial and supportive working culture where teachers are trusted, staff wellbeing is valued and professional autonomy is respected.
