We are a selective independent school for girls aged 2-16 years, located in the village of Bookham, Surrey and are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Head of Modern Foreign Languages.  This is an amazing opportunity to lead a talented team.

The MFL department teaches French from Nursery to year 11, with Spanish being offered from year 5 to year 11 and German from KS3 up to GCSE.  The department is enthusiastic, successful and innovative in its delivery and use of IT and uses the new Pearson activeteach and activlearn resources.

As well as trips to France, Spain and Germany, they take groups to the Love Languages Competition at CLFS, the European Challenge Day at King Edward’s Witley and the Able Linguists Day at Southampton University amongst others.  They also organise Onatti theatre performances, and theatre and cinema trips whenever possible.  The department runs a Love Film Club, a Junior Languages Club, and offer a variety of lunchtime activities.  There is also a well-stocked library with a variety of books and magazines for girls of all ages and abilities.

We are a selective independent school for girls aged 2-16 years (with boys in the Nursery and Kindergarten), located in the village of Bookham, Surrey. We are members of the Girls Schools Association (GSA) and have an on-site Nursery, Prep Department (Upper and Lower) and Senior School.
