Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, creative and motivated Head of Faculty for MFL with an infectious passion for the subject to join us.

You will be able to teach a combination of French and Spanish confidently at KS3. You will need to offer French and/or Spanish to A-Level standard.

To be successful, you will:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner and inspire this in others
  • Provide supportive and developmental Quality Assurance
  • Provide strategic direction for the Faculty
  • Be committed to ensuring the very best outcomes for our students
  • Support the Faculty day to day and ensure the highest standards of behaviour and engagement
  • Be passionate about your subject and seek to keep the profile of Languages high within the Academy
  • Develop our extra-curricular offer, including trips and cultural experiences

  • A group of specialist teachers able to offer French and Spanish to A-Level standard

What do we offer?

  • All students study either French or Spanish at KS3
  • There is a healthy uptake for GCSEs in both languages
  • Our GCSE results are excellent and a testament to the dedication, drive and determination of the team. Results are strong in all skills, with speaking being a particular strength
  • We currently offer A-Level Spanish and are determined to develop this offer further moving forwards
  • Supportive and knowledgeable line management

The Pingle Academy is an 11-19 co-educational, comprehensive school, became an academy in May 2017 and joined The de Ferrers Trust. Our over subscribed academy is the academy of choice in the local area and enjoys an excellent local reputation.
