This is an opportunity to join one of the most high-achieving and forward-looking independent schools in London. We are looking for an outstanding linguist to lead our thriving Modern Languages department at this over-subscribed, academically selective school for girls aged 11 to 18.

Queen’s College, London is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and inspirational classroom practitioner as Head of Modern Languages. This is a crucial position of responsibility: the person appointed will provide academic leadership of the subject and will work closely with the senior leadership team as part of our commitment to excellence in the languages. The department is supportive and innovative. The subject is taught with academic rigour and the department achieves very strong results in public examinations. The successful candidate will be expected to teach French to A-level and Spanish to at least Key Stage 3.

Queen's College, London is a leading independent day school for girls between the ages of 11 and 18, occupying four large historic houses on Harley Street in central London. Our outstanding Prep School, for girls aged 4 to 11, is situated in a separate building, just around the corner on Portland Place.

This is a full-time maternity cover role for a period of one year from September 2021.
