Head of Modern Languages

Marlborough College seeks to appoint a talented and highly qualified graduate linguist to lead its popular and academically successful Modern Languages Department. The ability to teach French and/or Spanish would be an advantage.

You will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with the vision to be creative, the passion to motivate, and the subject-knowledge to challenge and inspire. You will be a strong leader, be ambitious for the further development of the department, and be committed to its wider provision (including exchanges, study visits abroad, and a programme of extension and enrichment). 

You will be expected to become involved in College life beyond the classroom, and to contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular provision that lies at the heart of a busy full boarding school.
