Head of Music and Drama
We are seeking to appoint a full time Head of Music and Drama. As Head of Department, you will take overall responsibility for all aspects of the teaching and learning of all the Performing Arts within the school. We are passionate about creating active, future audience members as well as professional performers and a large number of our children regularly sit Music and Acting exams, achieving outstanding results.
You will develop and lead the implementation of the Music and Drama Curriculum across the whole school and have full responsibility for a busy department.
The successful candidate will have regard for the school's policies and schemes of work. The teacher will be responsible for the discipline, supervision and welfare of all pupils with the help of support staff. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading a busy department.
- Designing and implementing a Music and Drama curriculum that is dynamically adapted to ensure the children are well prepared for secondary school examinations.
- Monitoring teaching and learning within the department, ensuring best practice throughout.
- Along with other members of the Department, teaching Music and Drama across the school (including Little School).
- Ensuring the smooth running of the department, including the management of a large group of peripatetic teachers.

Greenfield School and Greenfield Little School proudly occupies a spacious site close to Woking town centre, where children benefit from a modern approach to preparatory education.
