Applications are welcome from inspiring and enthusiastic music teachers to take charge of a thriving, hugely successful and well respected music department, working collaboratively with a dedicated music team.
In addition to the weekly curriculum music, this department runs 4 choirs, 10 instrumental ensembles and offers a wide variety of 1-to-1 instrumental lessons. The Head of Music will be supported by a music secretary, 2 school music teachers and a staff of 18 peripatetic music teachers.
Personal strengths that we are particularly seeking:
- Experience of teaching a music curriculum to Key Stage 2/3
- Excellence in leading ensembles/concerts (including orchestras, choirs)
- A high standard of keyboard skills and/or an orchestral instrument
However, individual musical leadership strengths and versatility of candidates will be taken into consideration.
