We are St Catherine's College - preparing students to stand shoulder to shoulder with their peers, locally, nationally and globally.
We are proud of our College, our talented and highly motivated staff and students. Our staff team work tirelessly to ensure that teaching is the best it can be and everyone has a role to play in this. We support each other and there is an open, friendly and collegiate atmosphere where new members of the team are welcomed and supported.
We seek an inspirational Head of Music with the ability to lead and develop excellent Music teaching at St Catherine's College.
This vacancy has arisen as our current Head of Music is relocating out of the county and will be leaving us at Easter.
You should have the ambition to create outstanding opportunities through Music and have the energy, drive and enthusiasm to lead projects through to completion.
The Music Department is a very successful department within the school. Most pupils gain or exceed their target grade.
The Head of Department has a specialist classroom with additional practice rooms. Music equipment includes sets of keyboards, a range of percussion instruments, iPads, a selection of guitars and ukuleles and a gamelan.
We have a school choir and a school band who perform at our Christmas carol concert and our summer performing arts concert. The Music Department is also involved in a number of performances in the community.
