The German Swiss International School (GSIS) is one of Hong Kong's leading international schools with 240 faculty and staff providing quality, holistic education to a multinational student body of approximately 1250 students.  The school is organised into two Streams, German and English leading to qualifications in the German International Abitur and I/GCSE & IBDP respectively. We are inviting applications from experienced and qualified candidates commencing in August 2022.

The successful candidate will be teaching in the English Primary Department across all year levels and will be an excellent classroom practitioner who is dedicated to enabling each child to achieve the highest possible standards.  She/he will be expected to be up-to-date with current teaching and learning practices with regards to differentiated learning, assessment and reporting. She/he will be a dynamic, open-minded and enthusiastic practitioner who is dedicated to providing learning opportunities for every student commensurate to their needs, abilities and stage of development. They will be committed to teaching a programme that gives each student the opportunity to experience success, and which challenges all students to achieve their full potential. Teaching experience in an international context is desirable, as well as experience in teaching extra-curricular activities..

What is required and what we’re looking for 

• Primary Music Teacher qualification and experience teaching at primary level

• Minimum of 5 years full-time teaching experience

• Excellent English speaker with sound written and oral communication skills (native speaker level)

• Eperience of coordianting performances

• Strong collaborative practioner willing to work with collegaues

• Culturally sensitive, tolerant and patient

• Positive work ethic
