Tes is supporting the appointment of a dynamic and highly skilled Teacher of Music to build a Music Department at this high achieving School in Hounslow. Working closely with the Head of Drama, the successful candidate will develop the performing arts provision. The school are looking for a leader with the vision and drive to implement a creative music programme from Year 7 to 11, recognising the talents and backgrounds of students whilst developing their skills and knowledge.
The successful candidate will possess:
- The confidence and ability to teach Music at all levels
- The professional characteristics to be an excellent role model and classroom practitioner, who is prepared to be innovative in their own teaching
- A clear understanding of the current curriculum, assessment and pedagogical developments relating to Music at all Key Stages
This is a successful, vibrant, happy and oversubscribed school where ‘pupils have high aspirations and want to succeed in education. Leaders have established the right school climate for them to do so. Pupils achieve very well in a wide range of subjects in the main school and sixth form’ [OFSTED December 2022].
