We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic musician to lead music within our happy, friendly and forward-thinking school that is fully committed to striving for the best in all of our pupils. Music plays a central role in the life of our school: we have a number of choirs, orchestras and ensembles running throughout the 4 – 11 year age range and all of these groups have the opportunity to perform at a range of concerts and assemblies throughout the year.
The successful candidate will be leading a thriving music department which comprises the Head of Music, an additional part-time music teacher and 15 peripatetic staff who provide over 250 individual music lessons each week. The Head of Music will be confident at teaching music throughout the Primary age range, conducting orchestras and choirs, leading whole-school assembly singing practices and accompanying instrumentalists on the piano.
