Slough and Eton is looking for a great teacher to run our Music department whilst the current subject leader is on maternity leave. Music is a growing subject at Key Stage 4 and we need an interim leader who will enhance this further and continue to develop the subject at Key Stage 4.
The department is in a dedicated block with 1 specialist room/practice rooms and benefits from access to the latest Clevertouch interactive technology. At Key Stage 4 we run GCSE music and want the subject to grow into KS5. The leader of this subject needs to be hardworking, dedicated to ensuring students of all abilities can succeed and, crucially, a great classroom teacher. Previous experience of examination success at Key Stage 4 is desirable although there is no requirement to have taught post-16 previously. We currently have GCSE music running in Year 10 only and are planning for the subject to grow next year.
Slough and Eton is a great school on the outskirts of Slough, which serves the Chalvey community. We are relentlessly focused on ensuring great teaching, learning and experiences are at the core of what we do. It is an exciting time for us and our students are a pleasure to work with.
If you are interested in finding out more then please read the welcome letter from our Headteacher and feel free to visit the school in advance of applying. We are, or course, committed to safeguarding the welfare of our students and staff and will conduct all necessary DBS checks as part of our recruitment process.
We look forward to hearing from you.
