Head of Music

An outstanding and inspirational Head of Music is required in the Senior School for August 2020.

The right candidates will have the ability to inspire students with a diverse range of talent and ability. A desire and willingness to teach through Years 7 to 13 is essential, along with experience of IGCSE and IB. We commenced the IBDP programme in August 2018. Students start a 3-year IGCSE programme in Year 9. 
 
Experience of managing a peripatetic instrumental programme would be desirable, along with experience and commitment to a wide range of musical co-curricular activities that contributes to a busy, high profile annual performance calendar (with occasional whole college collaboration).
 
The successful candidate will be highly committed leader and team players with the drive, energy and passion to develop this forward-looking school and department.  Candidates will also be a strong and flexible musician, with an excellent academic teaching track-record and being an efficient administrator.
 
Applicants must be willing to lead by example and play a full part in the College’s pastoral care and extra-curricular programme.
 
The closing date for applications is 13 December 2019, although candidates are encouraged to apply early, as the College reserves the right to proceed with the process prior to the application deadline.
