Job overview

Head of Operations & Facilities

Point 30 SCP: £33,782.00 at the point of starting.

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum

We are seeking an outstanding candidate who will work closely with the Director of Finance & Services, and other Senior Leaders and Trustees, to drive forward the school into being a truly exceptional place to learn and work, at the centre of our community.

We are at an exciting time in our development and this role will play a very significant part within this.

The role covers a range of important operational areas, particularly linked to the efficiency of the school site and environment, benefitting both ourselves and the community.

We are very keen to make better use of our extensive resources in order to attract other streams of     funding. Experience in project management will be important, as well as the ability to set out and pursue a   strategic approach to commercial income generation via our multiple-level facilities.

As the school continues to develop and expand, there will be opportunities for the role to develop and take on more responsibility.

More than anything, we are after a successful candidate who has a ‘can-do’ approach, will bring positivity and creativity to the operational running of key aspects of our site and who shares in a vision that sees Cleeve School as providing an exceptional service to our community.

A letter has been produced that explains the role in greater detail, together with a comprehensive Job    Description. Equally, there is an opportunity for an information discussion before the application deadline (please see letter later in this pack).

Closing date: 9am on Monday 31st January 2022. Interviews will be on Monday 7th February 2022.

The school is an equal opportunities employer and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and therefore expects all staff and  volunteers, to share this same commitment. We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion.

Alwyn Richards; Executive Head.

Ofsted

“The overall achievement of students is good, and outstanding for some. It is outstanding for those students who need extra help and in some subjects, including mathematics. Students’ achievement in English and in the sixth form is good and improving.”

“Much teaching in all subjects and in the sixth form is at least good, with a significant proportion that is outstanding.”
