We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Head of Performing Arts to lead a successful and supportive team. The appointed person will be required to teach across KS3 and KS4, with the ability to teach to KS5, and all ability ranges. You will also be responsible for the management of effective and efficient teaching and learning support in key areas of the School. You will conduct regular meetings, professional development and coaching with staff, setting targets and improving performance. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the extra-curricular provision in the Performing Arts, which includes the administration of the Instrumental Music Program. We have a range of departmental initiatives which provide opportunities for the right candidate to cultivate their creative capabilities.

The Performing Arts Department is committed to providing high quality teaching and learning for all students and the post represents an ideal opportunity to work in a happy, friendly and positive environment. The Performing Arts are highly valued by the School, with a regular calendar of events taking place throughout the year. The department is well resourced, with two main teaching rooms in both Music and Drama, a theatre with a state-of-the-art lighting desk, a recording studio and a number of practice rooms.
