Head of Performing Arts, Language and Sport – TLR 2.3 (£6,154) 

An enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher is required from September 2017 to lead our Performing Arts, Language and Sport Faculty at one of the highest performing schools in Tamworth and North Warwickshire. We pride ourselves on:

· Access to laptops and other ICT equipment

· A well equipped/resourced faculty, including purpose built Music rooms and Sports Hall;

We are a high performing and popular school with specialist status, located close to the M42 and M6, in easy reach of Birmingham, Staffordshire, South Derbyshire, Warwickshire and Leicestershire.

We are looking for a talented and committed Head of Faculty who can contribute to the ongoing success of our school. We are keen to appoint an inspirational leader to plan, shape and deliver great lessons at KS3/4 which allow all students to reach their potential.  We are also looking for someone who can develop Performing Arts and Sport provision in our school and inspire students to engage in these subjects throughout Key Stage 3 and 4.

If you are successful in your application, you will:

· Support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership team in delivering excellent provision in this Faculty, including the subjects Music, Drama, French and Physical Education.

· Be committed to teaching French, Drama or Physical Education.

· Implement the new GCSE specifications using their own ideas and to develop a flagship faculty across school and the local area.

· Develop a Key Stage 3 curriculum that inspires students and provides solid and challenging foundations for Key Stage 4.

- Implement strategies and initiatives to promote the Performing Arts and Sport in the school and inspire students to engage in these subjects.
