R.E.A.L. Education is looking for a passionate individual with a proven track record of school improvement with strong leadership skills to join us as our Head of Personal Development.

R.E.A.L. Education provides both independent special schools placements and market leading alternative education. Our Head of Personal Development will be part of our schools Senior Leadership team, working closely with our Head of Schools and Director of Education to drive the strategic direction and business development of our Personal Development within our SEND R.E.A.L. Independent Schools.

The successful candidate will be responsible for evolving and advocating the personal development agenda for all of our provisions across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.

In order to apply, you must have at least 3 years experience in a leadership role, ideally in an alternative educational setting. You must have qualified teacher status, be able to demonstrate knowledge of statutory education frameworks including governance, OFSTED EIF and the SEND Code of Practice to a high level and be able to create learner personal development approaches and programmes for a range of settings, ages and stages.

In addition to your holiday entitlement and paid bank holidays, we will offer you 5 days paid dependency leave a year, access to the company’s Westfield Health, support your continuous professional development and provide a bereavement insurance policy.
