We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and innovative specialist of PE to lead our successful PE department. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for sport and physical education and possess strong leadership and management skills. We are seeking an outstanding teacher with deep knowledge of pedagogy in this curriculum area.

This is a genuine and exciting opportunity to join a dynamic PE Department, which has achieved excellent results with teams and individuals at area, county and national level.  In addition, the academic standards of the PE department are amongst the highest in the College.  GCSE results have been amongst the strongest in the region for a number of years.  The department offers two very popular courses at key stage four, GCSE PE Studies (Edexcel) and Cambridge First National Sports Science. It is expected that the successful candidate will lead and further develop the positive profile and future success of sports participation and academic study within the College. The Curriculum Leader will also oversee the provision of Outdoor Education at the college 

In February 2018, an Ofsted inspection confirmed we were a Good College where pupils consistently make exceptional progress. GCSE results at the College are consistently outstanding. We are delighted with the outstanding +0.51 P8 success achieved by our students in 2018, which is ‘well-above’ the national and county average.

The College

Our recent Ofsted inspection, in February 2018, judged that our school remains a ‘good school’. Inspectors observed excellent standards of conduct around the school.
