History and Ethos

The British School of Tashkent (BST) is one of the leading international schools in Tashkent offering contemporary British international education to students in Early Years, Primary and Secondary education. Since opening in 2010, BST has become the school of choice for expatriate and Uzbekistan parents looking to provide their children with highest levels of education.

The school is now part of Nord Anglia Education, the world’s leading premium schools organisation. We are a family of 55 international schools, boarding schools and private schools located in 24 countries around the world.

Location and Facilities

BST is located in the exclusive and picturesque district of Mirzo-Ulugbek, which is in close proximity to the centre of Tashkent. The school has two campuses; Sayram Campus (Pre-Nursery - Year 2) and Kalandar Campus (Year 3 - Year 11).

Both campuses offer modern/smart interior and exterior learning environments, with playgrounds and facilities that are age appropriate, safe and enjoyable. The facilities on offer match that of any top international school, not only in terms quality, but also in how they enhance the education we provide.

The brand new Kalandar Campus, which opened in April 2017, includes 26 new classrooms, laboratories, library, canteen, theatre, 3 sports halls, 25 metre swimming pool and a toddler pool. There are also recreational playgrounds and an outdoor 5-a-side football astroturf pitch.

Career Development and Benefits

A career with BST offers all the opportunities associated with a dynamic, global organisation. We offer an excellent salary and benefits package, including housing, international medical cover, annual flights, and bursaries for accompanying children.

We also provide fantastic learning and continuing professional development opportunities, both within the school and across Nord Anglia Education.

The Future

BST currently offers education up to Year 10 in Secondary school, with plans to open an additional year group in each new academic year. The new campus allows for this expansion to develop into a full Secondary school with GCSEs and A Levels offered. In an increasingly competitive market, BST continues to strengthen its ambition of being the region’s most respected and highest achieving school.
