We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and compassionate Head of PE to provide a high standard of support to our students with educational, physical, medical and complex needs. The ideal candidate will have preferably worked with a range of SEN students previously, be highly organised in their work and have a clear vision of how to maximise the fantastic facilities we have available. The responsibilities associated with this post will include oversight and scheduling of the use of our therapy pool.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead PE across all phases (3-19) which is differentiated and adapted to meet the needs of all students.
- Plan, organise and implement an appropriate teaching programme that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfil their potential.
- Organise, lead sports clubs and assist with residential/day sport trips and activities as required
- Be willing to teach another subject if required.
- Have strategic oversight of the use of our ‘therapy pool’. Timetabling this resource effectively and maximising its use.
