This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physics teacher to play a pivotal role heading up a thriving and popular department, in a leading independent day school with exceptional academic results and excellent facilities. Our GCSE (94.8% A*/A grade) and A level results (66% A*/A across the three sciences) speak volumes for both the dedication of students and staff, and the high esteem that Physics, and also Science, is held by the school community.

Most importantly we are an innovative department that thrives on the investigative and experimental approach to inspire our students beyond the confines of the course. Utilising your resources efficiently and effectively, you will also ensure the curriculum is managed and developed in accordance with school policy across the department.

We offer a whole range of enrichment activities, from trips to CERN and the RAL, to competitions, clubs, and lectures from outside speakers, which all resonate with our genuine passion for this subject.

With your excellent subject knowledge and leadership skills you will ensure that high standards of leadership and management are realised throughout the department and that high standards of teaching and learning are delivered. We pride ourselves on excellent academic success.

If you have the necessary leadership skills to lead and manage staff to work toward a common goal, are an excellent subject teacher who can lead by example, but most importantly have a passion and drive for Physics and Science as a whole, we would be delighted to hear from you.

In return we can provide a friendly and welcoming work environment, students who are spirited, enthusiastic and passionate about learning, a competitive salary and career development opportunities.
